Vision:
The Expectation of God-Moments
We believe that God is at work all around us.
Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

The Life of Integrity
We believe that how we live is more important than what we say.
Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
The Discipline of Excellence
We believe in serving that exceeds expectations.
Colossians 3:17 - And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
The Priority of Children
We believe that Every Child Is A Winner.
Matthew 18:14 - In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.

 

Upward is a parachurch organization which currently partners with churches in over 40 denominations to share the gospel with children and their families. All churches entering into a partnership with Upward are required to sign our Ministry Agreement which includes the following:

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative, Word of God. 
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. 
  4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. 
  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. 
  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment. 
  7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
