The elders and ministers met to discuss church services as the state prepares to lift the stay-at-home order in phases. The City of Logansport has declared a state of medical emergency through May 18 and asks churches to continue virtual/online services until that date pending further announcements to be made around then.
As such, the elders and ministers are making plans to open the church building for morning services on May 24, when Cass County is scheduled to enter phase 2 of the governor’s plan. As we phase into being fully open, we will begin with holding two worship services at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM each Sunday. We are asking everyone who attends to wear a mask over their nose and mouth and hand sanitizer stations will be set up at entrances for your use. The chairs will be arranged to promote social distancing and we will set up communion/offering stations around the sanctuary to limit physical contact. For the time being, we will not have Sunday school or junior church.
Per the guidelines given by the state, we are asking those who are age 65 and older or have compromised immune systems making them more susceptible to catching this virus to continue utilizing the online services for the first couple weeks as we see how gathering together impacts the spread of COVID-19.
We also wanted to let you know that we appreciate your faithfulness in attending online as well as your ongoing giving electronically and via mail. Please be aware that we have a PO box and don’t receive mail at the church building. Most of the time, the post office catches it and puts it in the PO Box, but recently we learned that occasionally pieces of our mail are delivered to nearby churches and they have been putting it back in the mail in hopes that we receive it. Please make sure to use the following address for correspondence sent to the church:
