Jesus came to set us free… but free from what? And free to do what?
What blessings does God give us when He makes us “children of the King,” and why would anyone want to try to steal those blessings away from us?
The Galatians were clothed with Christ, but they’d been convinced that Jesus wasn’t enough. Someone had told them they needed to follow rules and laws to be acceptable to God. Why was that false?
Christianity is about making a choice. Do I choose to do things God’s way, or mine? Do I choose to follow His wishes, or the wishes of others who disagree with Him? The Bible repeatedly tells us: “Make a choice.”
The Bad Judge
God dedicated 57 verses to a wicked judge who ruled as king in Israel for about 3 years. Why would He do that? Is it possible the story of this evil man has something to us about how we should think as Christians?
Jesus said we should love one another. But why bother to tell us to do it? Shouldn't it come naturally to us? Apparently not. So, what do we need to understand in order to obey this command that Jesus gave us?
