Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would be our helper and be “in” us… but what does that mean? What difference could the presence of God’s Spirit make in our lives?
What make a church successful? Is it lots of money? A great preacher? Great outreach programs and internal programming? Oddly enough, the early church didn’t have that – and yet they turned the world upside down. What did the early church have that made the difference?
Paul said he prayed for the Ephesians that they would “know… what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us.” Why would Paul bother to pray that they’d KNOW such a thing, and why would it matter if we knew this power?
James tells us that “no one can tame the tongue.” So, what do we do about it? How can we recognize when we’ve misused our tongue and spoken curses that bring shame to Christ?

When Jesus healed people “power went out from Him”. This isn’t the only time “Power” is spoken about as “coming out” from Jesus when He performed His miracles. What does that mean and what can it mean to us?
