Unity is all about Jesus. (This sermon was given at our annual “Unity Service” where our Spanish, Creole, Burmese and English speaking members join in Worship. Scriptures, songs, and prayers were offered in different languages and the sermon was translated from English into the other languages).
What does oil on Aaron’s beard have to do with the unity of God’s people? This was our annual Unity Service in which we combine our English and Spanish-speaking services into one.
You can put a bunch of cats in a burlap bag and you’ll have ONE bag full of cats, but you won’t have unity. So what makes us one body? The answer is so obvious we sometimes miss it. This message was presented at our annual unity service, with components of worship in English, Spanish, and Burmese.
The Bible tells us we should “Run in such a way as to get the prize.” But there’s one part of the race that’s crucially important for us. Do you know what that is?
God asks us to help build His ONE church – and how we measure things can make all the difference in how the local church turns out. What measuring stick does God want us to use in making the right measurements?
Christians need to be of one mind and one love. But too often we’re so focused on ourselves that we can’t reach that goal. So how do we change our self-centered way of thinking?
It is a constant theme in Scripture – God calls His church to be “united”. What does this mean, and how can we get it done?
Jesus built HIS church out of flesh and blood. He took sinful, selfish and self centered people and created a church that would last forever. But how could He make a world changing church out of such useless material? Preached at Unity Service
